Peter 3:8-9 NLT2-23
Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.
Father, in your word you tell us what is good, and what you require of us. This is to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.
Today we choose to walk humbly with You. We choose to live by Your Holy Spirit and to follow Your lead. Help us to hear You clearly, for we do not want to walk by pride or self-sufficiency, but we want to treat those around us with gentleness and compassion, just as You treat us.
