Happy Sunday to you all!
As the summer proceeds, it is almost impossible to believe that we have been broadcasting virtual services for Simply Church for just about 5 months! The situation with COVID continues to be a daily concern for many of us as it has affected our lives in so many ways. For some, it has meant losing loved ones, for others it has resulted in loss of employment or forced pause in life path changes.
We pray that, whatever your situation, you may find encouragement in the words quoted above. The Apostle Paul wrote these words to the church in Phillipi while he was imprisoned for preaching the gospel. Down in the depths of what others would call a dire situation, he saw the light of Jesus’ love and encouragement and drew strength from prayer. We can also call on God and Jesus to help us get through any situation we are faced with.
The following quote is one from a comtemporary apostle, Billy Graham:
The Christian life is not a constant high. I have my moments of deep discouragement. I have to go to God in prayer with tears in my eyes, and say, ‘O God, forgive me,’ or ‘Help me.’
What ever you are going through, there is one who is always listening.
I pray this service speaks to you and helps to encourage and equip you where you are, to go out and reflect the light of Jesus for those around you.
