John‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭32‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said,

‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Almighty God, we thank you for the gift of your holy word. May it be a lantern to our feet, a light to our paths, and a strength in our lives. As we draw close to you through your word, take us and use us to love and serve the people around us by the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
